Our train left at 7:28am - check-in by 7:00am - which means we had to wake up at 6:00 to make sure we got there in time to get through customs. A bit brutal because we were up so late - add in the church clock ringing every hour, seagulls screeching, a group of drunks leaving the pub and continuing in the town center, the cement mattress and the lack of air conditioning which would be relieved by opening the windows - but of course this is not possible - well, let’s just say we are tired. France and Disney await, so fortunately excitement trumps exhaustion. After checking into our Disney partner hotel (pretty disgusting - my first thought was - it’s only 2 nights) we hit the Disneyland Paris Park. They have many of the same rides and attractions, but a few new one’s too. Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain were better than Orlando. The Indiana Jones coaster and Storybook Gardens boat ride were great. Overall, Orlando cannot be beat - it is cleaner, more detailed and a better experience, that being said, we still had a really great time.
We took the Chunnel train from Ashford England to Lille France - then another train on to Paris Disney.
We have arrived at Disney Paris - you can stay at this hotel at the entrance to the park - if you want to take out a second mortgage. Great location though!
Watch out for the 7 of clubs!
Space Mountain is WAY better here - so great we rode it twice. If you look closely you can see the coaster rocketing through the cannon - you literally get shot through - awesome!
